Istria has always been Alex Knapic’s main inspiration regardless of whether it moved along the futuristic explorations of the mosaic dispersion, the universe abstract or even meandering along secluded beaches, mystical groves or hidden paths of childhood.
The persistence of the master of mosaic is not consumed in the stubborn perpetuity of colours, movements and shapes, but on the contrary – stubbornness delivers diversity and, with every new look, new perceptions occur and new stories are created. This is recognised in each material and it is an artwork that represents Istria through Knapic’s memories.
