In 2018 S. Bülent Sancar participated in the CONTEMPORARY VENICE - ITSLIQUID International Art Show at THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space in Venice. CONTEMPORARY VENICE 2018 - ITSLIQUID is an international Art Show, featuring photography, painting, video art, installation/sculpture, and performance artists took place from December 05, 2018, to January 11, 2019, at THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space. Bülent Sancar is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Ceramic and Glass Department. In 2014 he Sancar moved to Manisa, where he got acquainted with a new material Composite at METYX. This unique material inspired him to try sculpting new forms as he was searching to create pieces in bigger dimensions.

ITSLIQUID is a web-based information platform, founded in 2001 by Luca Curci, dedicated to the worldwide distribution of information about calls for entries, exhibitions, and events at some of the world's leading art galleries, museums, and foundations selected. During the opening, Luca Curci conducted an interview with Bülent Sancar, in which the artist shared his main source of inspiration for his work, as well as discussed his profound career and other exhibitions.

The highlight of the exhibition is "Thera"- a colossal luminescent blue sculpture. It is the first sculpture of Sancar's famous ATLANTIS series, for which he later received an invitation to be exhibited in Venice. The desire to create this series came after the artist watched a documentary about the lost continent of Atlantis, the unusual architecture and sea creatures of which deeply influenced him, so he started sketching the forms he saw. The artist's favorite motto is: "Follow your dreams; they know the way. I start by dreaming and sometimes; I draw them and sometimes there is no drawing at all and I start sculpting directly. Everything else is technical issues after that. If my dreams are reflected in what I create and satisfy me then my sculpture is finished and I am ready for the new dreams."
