Uğur Tütüncü’s style was influenced by the 1980s generation of artists, coming from both the European and Middle Eastern schools of art. He graduated from the Institute of Applied Fine Arts with his first honors degree in 1998; later in 2008, the artist completed his master's at Hacettepe University from the Faculty of Fine Art, Department of Painting.
Uğur Tütüncü mainly depicts nature and landscapes while involving traditional elements of visual language of Middle Eastern culture. He abstracts the references to the natural landscape through impasto but at the same time, he uses religious Arabic lines. Since 2010, he has been continuing his painting practice in Istanbul and has confidently established himself as one of the most prominent artists in the novice arena of Contemporary Islamic Painting
Since 1995, Uğur Tütüncü has participated in multiple group exhibitions and won awards and honorable mentions about his calligraphy making.
