Ramazan Tilki Turkey, b. 1975

The sculptures directly symbolise and reinforce individuality as well as elegance, and minimalism including monochromatic allusions.

His artworks embody forms of our imagination. The marble resonates with the idea of natural resources, such as marble rocks. It imitates a silhouette from our imagination.  The natural form is transformed into a spiral with natural twists, it has a horizontal formation. This is aided by the resemblance to a female figure, which corresponds to a reduction in monopolising power and gendered divisions. The process of producing this sculpture is extremely complex, involving a long duration of time. The creation of the three-dimensional fold on the sculpture is extremely detailed with diverse elements of white for the sculpture. The sculpture directly symbolises and reinforces individuality as well as elegance, and minimalism including monochromatic allusions. The various bends in the sculpture creates an interconnectedness and interdependent form. He emphasises the significance of individuals as well as the overwhelming power of collective efforts through this sculpture. With Tilki’s rapid art development accompanied by his strategic positioning in the international and global art market, he defines a strong positioning on the global aesthetic stage.
