In this comical reimagining of a scene form Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction, Banksy replaces the guns held by Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta with bright yellow bananas. While playfully refencing pop culture, Banksy also presents a message of anti-violence within this work, as he transforms symbols of aggression into harmless absurdities. His choice of bananas is also nod to Andy Warhol’s iconic Velvet Underground album cover, adding a layer of art historical irony. Originally appearing as a mural near Old Street Station in London, the image became a cult favourite before its removal in 2007.

Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by Pest Control Office.
